I dont know...im not aware of anyone who wold have a blank specifically for that application. You'll probably have to start from scratch.
Did you have a type is steel in mind for your blanks?
did you have a specific type of steel? Something corrosion resistant, I assume.
Since the time I placed the question I already made my first sample. It was a failure! I bought 3 tool grade blades which were not stainless. After 30 minutes of raw cabbage on them they became ugly rusted! I realized that I need seriously stainless blades. Nevertheless I love the result of my first machine and I am contemplating on design of the second version.
Cabbage is a soft medium to cut so I think I don't need very hard steel. However, I want it razor sharp; I know what some steels are easier to sharpen than others. If you may suggest appropriate steel I would appreciate as well as any design ideas!
