Hi there! Probably the ultimate stupid newbie question but it might help someone else just as well. ;-) One of my chef knives (Tojiro DP) bent and snapped at the bolster when I tried to (carefully) bend it back. I am left with a blade which performance I actually liked (except how fragile it appears to be).
So, I thought: Let me re-cut this into a pairing knife. Am I wasting my time? Is that even doable?
I had in mind trying to keep the beveled part and cut off some of the top. I suppose that the angle grinder would just undo the treatment? I am afraid I don't have many more tools...
Thanks in advance for the reality-check!
